KATHMANDU: A global campaign to promote “Pikey Peak – The Hidden Heaven of Nepal” is being launched on November 1, 2025 (Kartik 15, 2082), with live participation scheduled for 10:45 p.m. (Nepal time) through TikTok and social media platforms.

The initiative, led by A.C. Sherpa, Honorary Consul General of Nepal for Washington State (USA), aims to unite Nepalis around the world to contribute to the construction of a "Buddha Park" in the beautiful Pikey Peak mountain area located between Solukhumbu and Okhaldhunga

The entire amount raised from this TikTok game will be used to construct the park, the organisers said while adding that this park will be a symbol of peace, culture, and unity—a place where tourists can relax, meditate, and enjoy the local culture and natural beauty. This project will further enhance Nepal's tourism, local economy, and the identity of Nepal on the global stage, they added. 

The event’s timing has been aligned for participation from global Nepali communities: 12:00 p.m. in the U.S. (EST) and Canada (Toronto), 10:00 p.m. in India, 9:30 p.m. in Pakistan, 4:00 p.m. in the U.K., 8:00 p.m. in Dubai, midnight in Singapore and Malaysia (November 2), and 11:00 p.m. in Thailand.

“Even a small contribution can bring a big change for Nepal’s peace and progress,” reads the campaign’s message. Participants are encouraged to join live on TikTok, share videos, and spread the initiative to make Pikey Peak Mountain a globally recognized destination.

Sherpa, a noted mountaineer, philanthropist, and social worker, has climbed the highest peaks on all seven continents — including Mt. Everest — and is the founder of the 7 Summits Foundation, which supports education and healthcare in remote areas of Nepal.

Born in Tapting, Solukhumbu, A.C. Sherpa has long been active in promoting Nepal’s tourism and community welfare. The Government of Nepal appointed him as Honorary Consul General for Washington State to represent Nepal and assist the Nepali diaspora. He was recently honored on Everest Day 2024 for his contributions to mountain tourism and humanitarian service.

Calling upon all Nepalis across the globe, Sherpa appealed: “Let’s come together in unity — one click, one share, one support — for Nepal’s pride and progress.”
