KATHMANDU: The upcoming Renewable Materials Conference 2025, scheduled from September 22–24 in Siegburg/Cologne, Germany, is set to bring global industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers together to explore cutting-edge solutions for replacing fossil-based materials with sustainable alternatives.

Organized by nova-Institute, the event will feature over 75 expert presentations, 20 panel discussions, and a dynamic exhibition, with a strong focus on interactive learning.

A key highlight this year is a series of twelve in-depth expert workshops, providing hands-on insights into renewable material technologies, policy frameworks, and practical business models. These workshops run parallel to the main sessions, allowing attendees to engage with both.

Workshop themes include:

  • Recycling Innovation by Finnish firm Syklo
  • Start-up Business Planning by nova-Institute
  • Air2Chem project transforming air into chemicals
  • Biodegradability & Circular Economy led by BASF and HYDRA
  • AI in Polymer Design by TNO
  • Policy for Renewable Carbon Transition with global policy experts

The conference also includes the prestigious “Renewable Material of the Year 2025” award, a platform to showcase breakthrough innovations like biosynthetic polyamides and advanced lignin-based materials.

More than 500 international delegates are expected to attend. Participants registering before August 17 can avail a 10% early bird discount.

For tourism and business professionals interested in green innovation and sustainability trends, the Renewable Materials Conference offers a rich networking and learning opportunity.
