Russian climber, Nepali Sherpa summit Mt. Ama Dablam with 14 Peaks Expedition

Olga Kalinichenko of Russia and Ngima Dorchi Sherpa reach 6,812m summit in successful October ascent

KATHMANDU: A two-member climbing team has successfully reached the summit of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m) under the management of 14 Peaks Expedition, the company announced on Wednesday.

The summit team comprised Olga Kalinichenko from Russia and Ngima Dorchi Sherpa from Nepal. The ascent was completed on October 15, marking another successful climb on one of the Himalaya’s most iconic and technically demanding peaks.

The expedition company extended congratulations to the climbers for their accomplishment and wished them a safe descent to Base Camp.

Mt. Ama Dablam, often referred to as the “Matterhorn of the Himalaya,” is located in Nepal’s Khumbu region and remains a popular peak among mountaineers for its striking beauty and challenging alpine route.
