NMA pays tribute to Bijay Ghimire Biswakarma, first Dalit Everest summiter, who died in Khumbu Icefall
12 May 2026The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) on Tuesday paid tribute to Bijay Ghimire Biswakarma, the first person from Nepal's Dalit community to summit Mt. Everest, whose mortal remains were kept at the NMA premises from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm to allow the public to pay their final respects to the pioneering climber.
