Dr Naresh Subedi appointed National Trust for Nature Conservation Member Secretary

Wildlife biologist to serve full term

KATHMANDU: Dr Naresh Subedi has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) for a full term.

A wildlife biologist and conservation planner, Dr Subedi has been associated with NTNC for more than 25 years and previously served as Senior Director. 

During his tenure in leadership roles, NTNC secured the management responsibility of the Central Zoo for the next 30 years and implemented several international conservation projects, it added.

According to NTNC, Dr Subedi has contributed to conservation science through more than 150 research publications and has supervised over two dozen PhD scholars.

The Trust expressed confidence that NTNC’s conservation initiatives would further strengthen under his leadership.

The National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) is an autonomous, not-for-profit organization established by a Legislative Act in 1982. Its core mandate is to work in the field of nature conservation across Nepal.
