KATHMANDU: Six climbers, including four Nepalis, have summited Himlung Himal (7,126 metres) over the past two days, according to expedition operator 8K Expeditions.

Indian climber Tirth Vikrambhai Patel reached the summit on October 25, while Rafiq Kurbanali of the United States and Camilla Nadine Hempleman-Adams of the United Kingdom, along with Nepali climbers Ang Chhiring Sherpa, Ang Pasang Sherpa and Nang Tenzi Sherpa, summited on October 26.

The team was led by Pema Chhiring Sherpa, an International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) guide who has summited Mount Everest 25 times, said Lakpa Sherpa, expedition leader and managing director of 8K Expeditions.

Lakpa said Pema Chhiring would also lead the company's Everest and Lhotse expeditions in 2027.

Himlung Himal, a 7,126-metre peak in the Nepal Himalaya, attracts climbers seeking to scale a mountain above 7,000 metres.
