As security forces and helicopters are being mobilised to rescue people affected by the sudden flooding in Rasuwa, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has called on experienced mountaineers and adventure professionals to join the emergency response.
Nepal has made an urgent appeal to the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage for a rapid and direct response to the catastrophic Bhote Koshi flash floods, saying the disaster has caused losses and disruption beyond the country's immediate response capacity.
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has set up dedicated help desks at its Bhrikutimandap office and at both the domestic and international sections of Tribhuvan International Airport to assist tourists and tourism workers affected by the recent floods.
