KATHMANDU: Shinta Mani Mustang has added another international accolade to a record year, being named among Asia's highly regarded hotels in Condé Nast Traveller's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards. The Dwarika's in Kathmandu and The Pavilions Himalayas in Pokhara also feature on the same "Rest of Asia" list, giving Nepal three properties in this year's selection.

Now in its 29th edition, the awards are based purely on votes from Condé Nast Traveller's UK readership. The Dwarika's recorded the highest score among the three Nepali properties, with the magazine crediting its community investment efforts; Shinta Mani Mustang and The Pavilions Himalayas also placed on the regional list.

The recognition caps a strong run for Shinta Mani Mustang. In July, Robb Report ranked it No. 1 on its "50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth 2026" list, selected by a panel of 24 Travel Masters, ahead of properties in Rwanda, Scotland, Japan and India. In September, the hotel earned One MICHELIN Key in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide, one of the global guide's recognitions for a "very special stay."

Namgyal Sherpa, CEO of Sherpa Hospitality Group, which operates Shinta Mani Mustang, had earlier called the MICHELIN recognition "a wonderful recognition for the property, our team and for Mustang as a destination."
