KATHMANDU: The presidents of Nepal's major tourism industry associations have held a first meeting with newly appointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadakraj Paudel, using the occasion to outline key priorities for revitalising the sector under the new government.

NATTA President Kumar Mani Thapaliya joined the presidents of the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), and the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) at the meeting, which centred on collaborative strategies, policy support, and sustainable growth to strengthen Nepal's position as a leading global tourism destination.

The meeting is the first in what industry leaders hope will be a sustained and constructive dialogue with the new administration, with associations expressing a commitment to working closely with the government on innovation, resilience, and unity across the tourism sector.
