SOTTO-Nepal elects new executive committee for 2025–2027

KATHMANDU: The Society of Travel & Tour Operators Nepal (SOTTO-Nepal) has elected a new Executive Committee for the 2025–2027 term.

 The announcement was made during the organization’s 17th Annual General Meeting and Election 2082 held in Kathmandu.

Man Bahadur Shahi has been elected as the new President, succeeding Bhuban Bahadur Pandey, who will now serve as Immediate Past President (IP-President). The newly elected First Vice-President is Dr. Dinesh Basnet, while Madhav Kumar Kandel has been chosen as Second Vice-President. Kumar Parajuli has taken on the role of General Secretary, with Kamal Bahadur Magar serving as Secretary. Madhu Sudan Nepal and Ananda Kumar Chhetri Biswos will serve as Treasurer and Co-Treasurer, respectively.

The elected executive members include Dasu Ram Gautam, Om Prakash Joshi, Bindu Pradhan, Anisha Gyawali, Prem Kumar Danuwar, Subodh Dhital, and Sujit Kumar Yadav. Together, the new team is expected to lead the organization in strengthening Nepal’s tourism sector through collaboration, advocacy, and professional development.

Established in 2008, SOTTO-Nepal is a non profit organization representing over 300 members including travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, and restaurants. With the motto “A Collective Voice for Better Tourism,” the society works to promote, protect, and enhance the interests of Nepal’s travel and tourism industry.
