NTB, Koshi Province sign MoU to launch Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Secretariat of Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082 have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen institutional collaboration for the effective implementation of Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082.
The MoU was signed by NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi and Dr. Indra Prasad Sapkota, Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Forest and Environment of Koshi Province, in the presence of Koshi Province Tourism Minister Sadananda Mandal.
The agreement aims to develop and diversify tourism destinations and products in Koshi Province, enhance branding, and promote them nationally and internationally. It also includes initiatives for capacity building, research, and conservation of the province’s natural, cultural, and heritage assets.
The partnership is expected to position tourism as a key driver of Koshi Province’s economic growth by creating local employment, attracting investments, and promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism development. Through this collaboration, Koshi Province seeks to raise its profile in regional and global tourism markets during the Tourism Year 2082.
