Nepal Tourism Board to operate free shuttle service for air passengers on election day

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has arranged free shuttle bus services for domestic and international air passengers on March 5, coinciding with the House of Representatives election.

The shuttle service will operate between Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and designated hotels across Kathmandu Valley from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm on polling day.

According to NTB, the buses will run on fixed routes to facilitate smooth movement of air passengers amid transportation restrictions on election day.

Route Details

Route 1: NAC – New Road – Kantipath – Thamel – Lainchaur – Malla Hotel – Nayabazar – Shankar Hotel – Radisson – Durbar Marg – Yak & Yeti – Naxal (Nagpokhari) – Gaushala – Battisputali (Dwarika Hotel) – Airport (same route return).

Route 2: Maharajgunj Chowk – Narayanthan Chowk – Dhumbarahi (Ramada Hotel) – Chabahil – Boudha (Hyatt Regency) – Jorpati Chowk – Chabahil – Gaushala – Airport (same route return).
