KATHMANDU: Nepal showcased its tourism products and connectivity offerings at a Tourism Promotion and B2B programme held in Tokyo on Wednesday, bringing together key stakeholders from Nepal and Japan to foster travel trade partnerships and boost visitor arrivals from one of Asia's most lucrative outbound tourism markets.

The event, held at the Rihga Royal Hotel, was jointly organised by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), and the PATA Nepal Chapter.

NTB presented a destination-focused overview of Nepal's tourism potential, while Nepal Airlines Corporation highlighted its fleet and route connectivity to Japan.

Members of the PATA Nepal Chapter engaged in a B2B networking session with their Japanese counterparts, creating opportunities for direct business collaboration between Nepali and Japanese travel trade professionals.

Deputy Chief of Mission Harihar Kant Poudel of the Embassy of Nepal in Japan attended the event and delivered special remarks on the significance of such promotional initiatives in strengthening Nepal's presence in the Japanese market. NTB Executive Committee Member Narendra Deo Bhatta delivered the welcome address, while PATA Japan Chapter Chairman Tsuneo Tony Ishida made the opening remarks.

Japan represents an important target market for Nepal's tourism sector, known for generating high-spending, culturally engaged travelers with a strong interest in adventure, nature, and heritage destinations.
