NTB highlights adventure, culture, and nature to Japanese market

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) successfully promoted Nepal as a premier destination for adventure, culture, and nature-based experiences at Tourism Expo Japan 2025, held in Aichi from September 25–28.

Tourism Expo Japan, one of Asia’s largest travel trade fairs, provided a platform for NTB and eight leading Nepali tourism companies to showcase the country’s diverse offerings. Participating companies included Himalayan Guides Nepal Treks & Expedition, The Trek Nepal, Swotah Travel and Adventure, Sumegh Tours & Travels, High Peak Adventure, Yeti Travels, Hotel Manang, and Karnali Rafting and Adventure.

The Nepal pavilion drew significant attention, with Japanese visitors showing strong interest in Himalayan trekking, cultural heritage, wildlife adventures, and Nepali hospitality. NTB said the participation not only boosted Nepal’s visibility in the Japanese market but also fostered valuable networking and business opportunities.

With direct air connectivity between Nepal and Japan, NTB noted that travel has become more convenient for Japanese visitors eager to experience Nepal’s natural and cultural diversity.
