After the COVID-19 pandemic, life changed for all of us — and for me, it became a turning point. The world had slowed down, and in that stillness, I found space to reflect on who I was and what truly mattered. I began to search for meaning beyond daily routines — a way to connect my life’s journey with my deep love for Nepal, the country that shaped my soul.

Even while living in the United States, my heart never left Nepal. I dreamed of doing something that would give back to the land that gave me everything. That dream took the form of a tourism business — not just a venture, but a mission to help Nepal heal after difficult years, to bring new opportunities, and to build a bridge between our homeland and the Nepali community abroad.

To bring that vision to life, I began organizing cultural and musical events in the U.S. These gatherings became much more than promotions for a business — they became celebrations of who we are. Every song, every dance, every smile reminded us of home. My goal was simple: to give Nepali artists a platform, to honor their talent, and to unite our community in pride and belonging.

Through this journey, I witnessed incredible moments of joy, unity, and appreciation. But I also faced challenges that tested my strength and spirit. I learned that even when your intentions are pure, misunderstandings can arise. I faced accusations and judgments — some rooted in partial truths, others without any truth at all. It was painful to see how easily people can form opinions without knowing the whole story. Yet, I also realized that mistakes — mine or others’ — are part of every journey. They teach us humility and wisdom.

What hurt most was seeing some media outlets present stories without verifying the facts. I have always respected Nepali journalism and its commitment to truth, but these experiences showed me that sometimes, even the most respected voices can miss the full picture. Still, I hold no anger — only understanding.

When I faced criticism, I reminded myself to stay calm, to listen, and to respond with peace. I believe every person has a right to their opinion. Even when others misunderstood me, I choose compassion over resentment. I wish everyone who crossed my path — friends or critics — nothing but happiness and growth.

These experiences changed me. They made me question, but they also made me stronger. I once believed Nepalese people were known for their honesty, kindness, and unity — and even after everything, I still believe that. There is so much goodness in our hearts, so much pride in our culture. Sometimes, it just takes a storm to remind us of the light we carry within.

This journey taught me patience, resilience, and faith — faith that truth will always reveal itself in time. I’ve learned to lead with integrity and to keep doing good, even when the world misunderstands your purpose.

Every event I organize, every artist I invite, every idea I bring forward comes from love — not for personal gain, but to bring people together and to celebrate the beautiful spirit of Nepal.

Today, when I look back, I see lessons instead of pain. I see growth instead of loss. These experiences have made me more grounded, more compassionate, and more determined than ever. I’ve learned that real strength lies in humility — and that no challenge can shake a heart guided by honesty and purpose.
