KATHMANDU: The world of high-altitude adventure and digital storytelling is colliding at the roof of the world. Joe Hattab, the celebrated Jordanian documentarian with a global audience of nearly 19 million, has arrived in Nepal for a project of a lifetime: exploring the Everest region alongside Nima Rinji Sherpa, a young mountaineer whose name is already etched in the history books.

This partnership is more than just a trek; it's a mission to bring the raw, breathtaking experience of the Himalayas to a global audience. Hattab, renowned for his cinematic travel videos, will use his lens to follow Nima Rinji—a National Geographic-featured climber—on the iconic journey to Everest Base Camp.

“Together, they aim to showcase the thrill and beauty of the Everest Base Camp trek to the world,” said Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, Chief Executive Officer of 14 Peaks Expedition, which is facilitating the journey. “Nima Rinji, world’s youngest to scale all 14 Peaks, is passionately dedicated to promoting Nepal's adventure tourism, and there's no better voice to amplify that message than Joe Hattab's.”

The duo today departed for the gateway town of Lukla, marking the start of an expedition that promises to translate the thin, cold air of the high Himalayas into emotive, powerful content for millions of followers. Hattab is known for his visually stunning travel documentaries that have garnered views in the tens of millions and attracted clients like Emirates, Samsung and Sony.
