Six climbers with Seven Summit Treks scale Mt. Dhaulagiri

KATHMANDU: Six climbers from three countries successfully reached the 8,167-metre summit of Mt. Dhaulagiri on Sunday morning, according to expedition organiser Seven Summit Treks (SST).
The summiteers were Jorge Egocheaga Rodriguez of Spain, Ping Lu of China, and Catherine Marcelle Rosa Bury of(Peak 15) of France, along with Nepali climbers Pem Nurbu Sherpa, Taraman Tamang, and Pemba Tasi Sherpa (Peak 15).
SST described the climb as a “remarkable achievement,” noting that the push followed the Dhaulagiri Rope Fixing Team’s route-opening success on September 26, which enabled the international group to make their final ascent.
