Russian climbers summit Lobuche Peak ahead of Ama Dablam attempt

KATHMANDU: Russian climbers Aleksei Kozlov and Anastasiia Zhirnova successfully summited Lobuche Peak (6,119m) on Friday, marking a major step in their ongoing Ama Dablam Expedition, according to 14 Peaks Expeditions.
The duo reached the summit under the guidance of experienced mountain guide Fura Tshering Sherpa. The expedition company described the climb as a testament to the team’s “determination, teamwork, and mountain spirit.”
Following the successful ascent, the climbers are now set to continue their journey toward their next objective — Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), one of Nepal’s most iconic peaks.
