Russian climber Alena Sokolyanskaya summit Mt. Ama Dablam

KATHMANDU: A Russian climber and her Nepali guide successfully reached the summit of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m) on today morning, with 14 Peaks Expedition.

According to the expedition company, the summit team comprised Alena Sokolyanskaya from Russia and Pasang Nurbu Sherpa from Nepal. The duo stood atop the peak, widely known as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas”, under clear autumn skies.

14 Peaks Expedition described their climb as a display of “dedication, teamwork, and perseverance,” reflecting the spirit of mountaineering in one of Nepal’s most iconic Himalayan settings.
