NMA, NTB launch fourth Professional Mountain Guide training course

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) have jointly launched the fourth Fundamental Skill Course of the Professional Mountain Guide (PMG) Training, with 40 participants set to undergo training across Kathmandu and Kanani in Nuwakot district until July 6.
The course was inaugurated by NMA Second Vice President Bodha Raj Bhandari and NTB Senior Manager Santosh Ghimire, both of whom underscored the importance of professional training in building a skilled workforce for Nepal's mountain tourism sector.
The programme is designed to strengthen the core competencies required of aspiring professional mountain guides, contributing to the broader development of human resources in one of Nepal's most important tourism industries.
