Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal elects new executive committee unopposed

KATHMANDU: The Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) has elected a new 11-member executive committee, with all candidates returned unopposed following the conclusion of the election process on June 1.
Dambar Parajuli has been elected President, Sushil Krishna Adhikari Vice-President, Prayush Neupane Secretary General, and Tul Singh Gurung Treasurer.
Five members elected to the committee are Gyanendra Kumar Shrestha, Bikash Shah Rauniyar, Dr Subhash Dawadi, Nar Bahadur Astani, and Dawa Steven Sherpa.
Two institutional members have also been elected: Dr Yadav Adhikari, representing Thamserkhu Trekking Pvt Ltd, and Ganesh Bahadur Neupane, representing Monterosa Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd.
The election committee, headed by Chief Election Officer Kumar Prasad Ghimire, announced the results after only one candidate filed for each post, triggering an uncontested election under the association's rules.
