KATHMANDU: A team of international climbers successfully reached the summit of Mera Peak (6,476m) on October 26, according to Expedition Himalaya Pvt. Ltd.

The summit team comprised Katja Elisabet Hagfors, Varsell Katja Helena, Sanna Maarit Vilkki, Arto Markus Helovuo, and Timo Juhani Suorto, who climbed under the guidance of a Sherpa support team — Mingmar Sherpa, Tarke Sherpa, and Kalden Sherpa.

“This successful ascent highlights both teamwork and preparation in challenging alpine conditions,” said Navin Trital, Managing Director at Expedition Himalaya.

Located in Nepal’s Hinku Valley, Mera Peak is considered one of the most scenic trekking peaks, offering panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga.
