KATHMANDU: An eight-member climbing team from Seven Summit Treks successfully summited Himlung Himal (7,126m) at 6:48 a.m. on October 21, according to Seven Summit Treks.

The team comprised four foreign climbers — Daniel Thosten Juelg from Germany, Andrea Bednarik and Rene Schlapschy from Austria, and Alain Canuel from Canada — along with four Nepali Sherpa climbers: Lakpa Tenje Sherpa, Dawa Finjhok Sherpa, Lakpa Dorchi Sherpa, and Mikmar Bhote.

Situated in the remote Manaslu region near the Nepal–Tibet border, Himlung Himal is renowned for its technical route and has become a sought-after peak for experienced mountaineers.
