American climber summits Lobuche East with Sherpa partner

KATHMANDU: An American climber and her Sherpa partner successfully reached the summit of Mt. Lobuche East (6,119m) on Sunday under clear autumn skies.
According to 14 Peaks Expedition, Julie Chestine Morris of the United States and Dendi Sherpa of Nepal made the ascent in favorable conditions, marking another successful climb for the duo in their Himalayan journey.
The team plans to proceed toward their next objective, Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), later this season.
