American climber summits Lobuche East with Nepali guide

KATHMANDU: American climber Matthew Rogers successfully reached the summit of Lobuche East (6,119m) in Nepal’s Khumbu region on Thursday.
Rogers accompanied by Nepali mountain guide Dinesh Rai reached the summit, comfirmed 14 Peaks Expedition, organiser of the expedition.
Following his successful Lobuche East climb, Rogers is preparing for his next objective, Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), also located in the Everest region.
The Lobuche East peak, often used by climbers for acclimatization ahead of higher Himalayan ascents, offers panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
